President McDavis is holding a retreat for all the presidents of senates and the cabinet members. Student senate has been given the opportunity to set some of the agenda, so please write some ideas down so that we can get the agenda to President McDavis by Friday.

We are going to start the OU special committee on expectations and traditions. We need people to chair this committee. It can be anyone. This special committee will look at the creeds, traditions, and expectations of Ohio University, so please see me after if you are interested. I had a meeting with Dr. Smith, who said that the retention rates for high performing women at Ohio University are less than those for high performing men. This is an issue I would like senate to look into. Also, I would like to thank everyone who came to the resource fair.

The Athens Clean and Safe Athens Halloween Committee is meeting tomorrow at 5 p.m. at Alden if anyone would like to attend. Also, I would like an individual meeting with the commissioners at the end of this general body meeting. I hope that everyone was able to read this at the beginning of the meeting, it is the senate creed/motto. This is a powerful statement from the senate constitution and your position is very important. Please be informed that when you vote and participate as active members, you hold some really high obligations and expectations to the university and the student body. This is creed is why senate was formed, so please ask if you have questions.
