Women’s Affairs Commission Report: January 30, 2007
This week Take Back the Night has again been the primary focus of my commission. Our next planning meeting is going to be on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. in Baker. Let me know if you want to come.
Senators Cataline, Commissioner Wemer and myself finalized the questions today for the survey for the Semesters vs. Quarters committee; the committee is continuing to meet regularly and working diligently on this project.
This past week I was included on the committee to develop the Provost’s class on Women in Leadership, which discussed the format and content of this class as well as possible visiting speakers and other goals of the class.
I have also been assisting with the selection of the Assistant Director of Career Services, The Vagina Monologues, and other women’s programming on campus as well as continuing our work with future women’s health initiatives.
Finally, I want to thank all of you that were able to make it out on a freezing Sunday evening for the lighting walk. Don’t forget I want your reports of your findings submitted to either my mailbox or by e-mail by this Sunday, the 11 so that we may write a resolution reporting our findings.
Enjoy the rest of the week.
